1. About these terms

These terms of use govern your access to and use of thesort.app, operated by The Minimal Sort, based in the United Kingdom. By accessing this website, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this site.

These terms apply to all visitors globally. Where mandatory local consumer protection laws provide you with rights that cannot be excluded by contract, those rights are not affected by anything in these terms.

2. About this website

thesort.app is the pre-launch website for The Sort, a luxury digital wardrobe application currently in development by The Minimal Sort. The site exists to provide information about The Sort and to collect waitlist registrations from interested users.

The Sort application itself is not yet available. Nothing on this website constitutes an offer for sale, a subscription agreement, or a guarantee of future availability.

3. Eligibility

By using this website and joining the waitlist, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age, or the applicable minimum age in your country of residence, where that age is higher. You confirm that you are using your own email address and that the information you provide is accurate.

4. Permitted use

You may use this website for lawful personal purposes only. You may not:

Use this site in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation. Infringe the rights of any third party, including intellectual property rights or privacy rights. Transmit unsolicited commercial communications or spam. Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of this site or its related systems or infrastructure. Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to copy, extract, or monitor content from this site without our prior written permission. Post or transmit any material that is harmful, offensive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable. Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

5. Waitlist registration

By joining the waitlist, you confirm that you consent to receiving occasional communications from The Sort ahead of its launch, no more than monthly.

You may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in any email we send, or by contacting hello@thesort.app.

Joining the waitlist does not constitute a purchase, a financial commitment, a subscription, a contract for services, or a guarantee of access to The Sort application or any of its features. We reserve the right to manage waitlist access, prioritisation, and invitation timing entirely at our discretion.

6. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including but not limited to text, copy, essays, imagery, the brand name The Sort, the brand name The Minimal Sort, the logo mark, design elements, and all associated creative materials — is the property of The Minimal Sort and is protected by copyright, trade mark, and other intellectual property laws applicable in the United Kingdom and internationally.

Nothing on this site grants you any licence, right, or permission to use any of our intellectual property — including our brand names, logo, or any content — without our prior written consent. Unauthorised use of our intellectual property may result in legal action.

7. User-generated content

This website currently does not allow users to submit, post, or publish content. If this changes in future, separate terms governing user-generated content will be published.

8. Third-party links

This website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party sites. The inclusion of any link does not constitute our endorsement of that site. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy and terms of any third-party site you visit.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

This website and all content on it are provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

The Sort is currently in development. We make no representations or warranties about the final features, pricing, availability, launch date, or performance of the application. We reserve the right to change, delay, alter, or discontinue any aspect of the product at any time without notice or liability.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Minimal Sort, its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, this website or its content.

Our total liability to you for any direct damages shall not exceed the greater of £100 or the amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, which at this pre-launch stage is nil.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including UK consumer protection legislation.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Minimal Sort and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of this website in violation of these terms.

12. Privacy

Your use of this website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. Please read our Privacy Policy carefully before using this site or joining the waitlist.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

For users located in the United Kingdom: any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

For users located in the European Union: in addition to the above, you retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence where mandatory local consumer protection law so requires.

For users located in the Middle East, India, and all other jurisdictions: while these terms are governed by English law, we acknowledge that you may have rights under your local mandatory consumer protection legislation that these terms cannot override. Nothing in these terms is intended to deprive you of those rights.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms of use from time to time. The updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date at the top. Continued use of the website following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

For material changes, we will endeavour to notify waitlist members by email before the changes take effect.

15. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable from the remaining terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

16. Entire agreement

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and The Minimal Sort regarding your use of this website and supersede all prior agreements and understandings relating to the same subject matter.
